About: Craft Academy was founded by Tanya D. Sullivan. A natural-born leader, she nurtures the skills needed for people to see the potential in themselves and reach for their own version of success. She leads a team of 24 women. She started Craft Academy with the goal of elevating the industry 1 stylist at a time.
Craft Culture: empowering, playful, fun, and a workplace that feels like home.
Roadblock: Creating a norm of celebration between co-workers. All recognition and celebration came from leadership. This series was co-designed with the founder to spread the celebration around to pivot the way that she leads from top-down approval to mutual sharing. Freeing energy from leadership to focus on business and have more personal energy and time.
Outcomes: By celebrating each other regularly the connection between the team members is greater. A sense of shared responsibility for the culture is present. This frees up time for the founder to focus on innovation for the business.

On-going activities to explore different ways of celebrating people on a regular basis.
IIf your team is grooving along and working well together, it could be the perfect time to celebrate it. And really identify what it is that makes your team tick at its best. Because everything is going so well this is the time to harness and magnify it. Team members may come and go, but these experiences they take with them and spread the benefits - this is why this is important.
